EVERYONE LOVES THE MOLLY!

EVERYONE LOVES THE MOLLY!

I picked Molly up on Valentine's day during a puppy mill rescue in Mississippi. She had severe brain damage, so she was taken from the litter to die. Apparently, she wasn't a good "product". This tiny baby was covered in stickers, ticks and poop. I had to have her!

I was told she wouldn't live a month, then 6 months, then a year and so on. She was the family baby for 3 yrs. We took her everywhere in her lil' pink purse. She was mute, so nobody knew she was there. Stores, restaurant and vacations. She was with us 24/7. We had to give her seizure medications 3 times a day, but she always forgave us. "Yuck! What was that?" We think she was the cutest lil' thing EVER! Her personality was most of that.

We lost Molly 3 weeks ago. She had seizures since about 3 months old. The vet hospital couldn't stop the last one and she passed, January 11th. She died in our arms, surrounded by love.

She didn't know she had it so rough. She was happy all the time! She taught us a lot about how things could be worse and no matter how bad it gets, enjoy what you have. She knew she was loved and that's all that mattered!

We took her to my dad's Alzheimer's facility to visit with the residents. She never minded everyone touching her or holding her. She had a lot of the same problems the patients did, so she touched their hearts them and gave them joy. Everyone she met loved her. We will always miss and love her.

We were so blessed to have the experience of Miss Molly! A wonderful gift! Pity???

I'd love to create a web site like yours, souly dedicated to special needs animals.... In memory of the baby. Not just poopies (call my dogs "the poopies"). We also have a paralyzed cat and a blind puppy that have beaten the odds.

I know there has to me pet mommies ( and daddies) that want to share those survival stories!

If anyone is interested in more about Molly... Pics, videos and her story. I'm working on a facebook group for Molly.

Please visit NDMR.org if you'd like more info on dog/puppy mill rescue.

Garret, great job with your site and thank you for the forum to share Molly.

You can't be serious?

I am having a hard time believing that someone could say something so rude and hurtful. You may think that you are posting anonymously, and you are. You are anonymous to everyone else, but not to me.

My privacy policy prevents me from naming and shaming people (I never thought I would have to do something like that...), but it does not prevent me from banning a user.

People need to keep in mind this is a friendly site, where we can share photos and stories about man's best friend and how they have impacted our lives.

I find it a virtual impossibility that Molly's caretakers would need any of our "pity".

Wow! What a mean thing to say!

We don't care about votes. We want to share Molly's story, so people realize for every puppy mill dog they buy, it at the cost of puppies like Molly!

Molly cost 16k in medical bills, but she was so worth it. She was thrown out like trash by her breeder.

Sad

I loved the story but I hope you weren't posting this for pitty votes.

Sorry for the loss.

That was a very insensitive, cruel thing to say. I am going to leave it up. Now go to the corner and think about what you have done -Garett

What a ray of sunshine!

Thank you so much for sharing about Molly! Her story really brightened my day. I'm sorry to hear about your loss, but just know that wherever she is now she is still bringing others joy because of your love!

The best from the blessed

That is the greatest--we need more people like us in this world. I hope you continue to save so many of the lost souls out there.
