EVERYONE LOVES THE MOLLY!
I picked Molly up on Valentine's day during a puppy mill rescue in Mississippi. She had severe brain damage, so she was taken from the litter to die. Apparently, she wasn't a good "product". This tiny baby was covered in stickers, ticks and poop. I had to have her!
I was told she wouldn't live a month, then 6 months, then a year and so on. She was the family baby for 3 yrs. We took her everywhere in her lil' pink purse. She was mute, so nobody knew she was there. Stores, restaurant and vacations. She was with us 24/7. We had to give her seizure medications 3 times a day, but she always forgave us. "Yuck! What was that?" We think she was the cutest lil' thing EVER! Her personality was most of that.
We lost Molly 3 weeks ago. She had seizures since about 3 months old. The vet hospital couldn't stop the last one and she passed, January 11th. She died in our arms, surrounded by love.
She didn't know she had it so rough. She was happy all the time! She taught us a lot about how things could be worse and no matter how bad it gets, enjoy what you have. She knew she was loved and that's all that mattered!
We took her to my dad's Alzheimer's facility to visit with the residents. She never minded everyone touching her or holding her. She had a lot of the same problems the patients did, so she touched their hearts them and gave them joy. Everyone she met loved her. We will always miss and love her.
"It's good to be Molly"
