My Baby Girl

My Pepper-Sallyann
1995-Nov 2nd 2009.

You came into my life on May 2nd 1996 as a rescue dog. The first time we met, you licked my nose and peed on my shoes! I knew from that moment you were the dog for me. After many months, you learned to trust me and I you.

I taught you that chasing a ball was fun. You loved to swim in the sea- with harness and rope attached- because you would sink if I wasn't there to help keep you afloat! You never did master the art of swimming unaided. Only you could be the dog that couldn't swim!

Another dog came into our lives 6 months after I got you. She was an 8 month old medium mongrel called Tia.
You got on great with her. Teaching her manners and a few bad habits!
You both grew to love each other and went everywhere together.
You played a game we called 'Kill that puppy' which was basically chasing Tia around until you were both tired out. That was a joy a watch.
Watching wildlife programs was another favorite of yours. Growling and barking at the screen, wondering if you were going to be attacked!
Age caught up with you quickly and the once bouncey girl was no more.

I lost you on Nov 2nd 2009 after a very brave fight against kidney failure. You were 15 yrs old.
I miss you with all my heart baby girl. But I know that one day we will meet again.
